Boxer engine – How it works, advantages and disadvantages!
Boxer engine also called a flat four engine and even H4 engine is a machine that features multiple pistons, all of them moving in the horizontal plane. The first internal combustion engine that was invented in 1896 by Karl Benz is the one that laid the foundation for an engine with horizontally-opposed pistons.
The most significant and popular layout is the two banks on both sides of a single crankshaft. These are generally known as boxers. The main advantage of the boxer engine is the primary and secondary engine balance.
