Fastest Ship In The World
Just because ships are bulky, doesn’t mean they have to be slow. Case in point: Francisco. Built at the Incat shipyard, located in Australia, they claim to have built the fastest ship in the world.
This Is The Fastest Ship In The World And Its Powered By Two Modified Boeing 747 Jet Engines!
With the capacity of 1,000 passengers, 150 cars, and with an enormous duty-free shop on board, this ship still manages to achieve an impressive speed of 58 knots or 67 mp/h (107 km/h).
Francisco is the world’s first high-speed ferry that uses liquefied natural gas (LNG) as primary fuel. All that fuel goes to two GE gas turbines that have modified Boeing 747 aircraft engines at their core. The turbines produce a combined 59,000 horsepower.
