MidWest’s 60-foot header
MidWest’s 60-foot header is in service and it is thought to be the first commercially available header that is this wide. The Queensland company’s 18 meter draper platform was designed to match the wider seeders and for controlled traffic farming.
To be able to run in the same tram lines as 60-foot controlled traffic is a huge deal. It is more efficient, eco-friendly and reduces fuel costs. Having this at your disposal means that you can strip 600-700 acres per day on your own. If there was a smaller front, you’ll probably have to have a second bloke that takes over and runs it around the clock to do the exact same job.
