Nikola Motor Company has taken a big step forward since the announcement of its zero-emission Class 8 truck. Dubbed the Nikola One, it’s maybe the world’s first hydrogen-electric semi truck that needs to be seen. Its prototype made us think that we’ll be seeing an all-electric semi truck but now, this hydrogen-powered beast boasts an incredible 1,200 miles of range. Thus, it makes a stiff competitor against the Tesla’s planned entry into the long-haul trucking segment.
The legendary Nikola One is futuristic and as sleek as it gets. Given the fact that it features no diesel engine, the engineers took it upon themselves to push the cab as much forward as possible so to give the driver a panoramic view of the road ahead. This semi truck produces 2,000 lb-ft of torque and incredible 1,000 HP.
This is not your typical tractor. In the video below, we’re checking out what the already infamous Nikola One has to offer – check it out!
