When we the world first heard of the Quadrofoil, back in 2012, the machine was still in its prototype stages. However, now it’s done and it is ready for production and available for order.
The Quadrofoil uses a C-foil technology that gives is specially shaped hydrofoils that provide an excellent lift. In addition, it has other advantages too. The company reports a range of 100 km and a full charge in 2 hours. Also, this electric hydrofoil can reach a top speed of 40 km/h. That, of course, depends on the model that you will choose in the end.
But, first, let’s take a step back. Basically, this marvelous electric machine is a hydrofoil personal watercraft (PWC). Of course, there are many others that we’ve encountered so, why is this one different? Well, this in a hydrofoil that takes care of the environment. It produces zero emissions, creates really tiny waves and marginal noise pollution. With this qualifications, it can even access areas where wave and noise disturbances are prohibited.
Furthermore, the better version of the Quadrofoil features a 5.5 kW motor with 10 kWh batteries. On the other hand, the cheaper version has got a 3.7 kW electric motor and 4.5 kWh batteries. This one has a top speed of 30 km/h , unlike the 40 km/h that the other one can reach.
