Rally car jumps over a dog to avoid hitting it on the track, so this is a lucky day for him. This is a one of a kind situation, the lucky dog was whiskers from death as it ran along a rally track in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. It took a stunt worthy of a Hollywood movie to save it as the clip shows the rally car launch into the air over the unaware dog.
The little black and white dog was running along a road that just so happened to be the course of the Codasur 2016 rally in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, when it almost became roadkill. Even as the rally car’s loud engine roars behind it, the pup doesn’t run from the track.
The car was driven by Uruguay driver Fernando Zuasnabar, who jump right over the dog and prevents the cute dog to be hit.
It was not immediately clear whether Fernando saw the little dog running on the track. The fast car jumps and lands safely in front of the poor oblivious dog, leaving it completely unscathed. After that, the car continued to speed down the racetrack while a patrol official takes the dog.
The Codasur rally is an annual racecar championship held across South America each year and the most famous champion of this rally is Paraguayan Gustavo Saba. Saba won three consecutive titles between 2011 and 2013. Rally drivers Roberto Sanchez and Raúl Martínez, both from Argentina, have each won the championship twice. The most commonly operated cars in this sport are Mitsubishis and Subarus.
