Volkswagen’s brand new 1.5-litre TSI Evo marks its spot in the history as this is the first time a VGT has been fitted to a mass-market petrol-powered engine.
This 4-cylinder engines uses variable-geometry turbocharging. It allows maximum torque and VW claims that this is the first time we see this in a volume-produced spark ignition engine. In addition, the 1.5-litre TSI is said to use one liter less fuel over 62 miles compared to others.
Its ability to be dropped straight into existing models is marvelous. Its dimensions remain similar to the ones that’s current in use as well as the new upcoming models.
